Al-Ahleia Switchgear Company was the first organisation in the Middle East to be Internationally Accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Services) for testing of LV/MV switchgears & busducts and transformers. UKAS is recognised globally as a body responsible for assessing and accrediting the competence of organisations in the technical areas of Calibration, Testing, Inspection and Certification of systems and products.

ISO 17025 was awarded and accredited to Al-Ahleia Switchgear Co. in March 2014 in recognition of our competence and adherence to the scope of the accreditation by our testing laboratories and in-house testing procedures.

This demonstrates that Al-Ahleia Switchgear Co. operates a recognised Quality System, is technically competent and has the full capability to generate valid, impartial and highly accurate results to internationally recognised standards. Furthermore, ISO 17025 complements and is closely aligned to our existing ISO 9001, ISO/TS 29001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System accreditations. This has enabled Al-Ahleia Switchgear Co. to further improve our significant ability to consistently produce valid and trusted testing results.

We have been carrying out Type Tests for several years for all our esteemed clients, who include:

• Ministry of Electricity and Water (Kuwait)
• Ministry of Defense (Kuwait)
• Ministry of Health (Kuwait)
• Kuwait Oil Company
• Kuwait National Petroleum Company

Testing has also been provided to all our other clients from Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, and the Middle East region. Our test laboratories are fully equipped to conduct Type & Routine Tests on L.V / M.V switchgears, transformers, busducts and other electrical equipment.

The tests are conducted as per International Standards and Type Test Certificates are issued as per IEC/BS Standards. In total Al-Ahleia has 3 testing laboratories numbered 1 through 3.
